Fees, Rebates and Cancellations

We understand the importance of accessible mental healthcare. Our fees are intentionally set considerably below the Australian Psychological Society's recommended fee of $311.

To streamline your experience, all fees are due at the time of consultation for in-person visits or payable before your online sessions. We believe in transparent and straightforward processes to ensure your focus remains on your well-being.

At Perceptive Psychology, we prioritise your accessibility to mental health care. Take advantage of Medicare rebates with the following information:

Eligibility:

• Medicare rebates are available with a valid Mental Health Care Plan.
• Our clinicians are registered Medicare providers.

Rebate Limits:

• Medicare provides rebates for up to 10 individual per calendar year.
• To access Medicare rebates, schedule an appointment with your GP for a Mental Health Care Plan Assessment.

While Medicare rebates cover a portion of your session fee, there may be an out-of-pocket gap. Current Medicare Rebate for a Clinical Psychologist is set at $141.85.

Private health insurance rebates may also be available to you depending on your health fund.

Please take note of the cancellation policy, if you need to cancel a session and that happens before the first reminder, there will be no charge to you. However, should you cancel:

1) On receipt of the 1st email reminder there is a 55% cancelation charge of the session rates

2) On receipt of the 2nd email reminder there is a 75% cancelation charge of the session rates

3) No show sessions have a 100% cancellation charge of the session rates

Practice expenses are ongoing and will need coverage. Additionally your appointment could benefit another person if sufficient notice is given.
