Psychology has always been, for me, an attempt to understand the complexity of being human. Throughout my career, I have been continually drawn to the stories that exist beneath what people present to the world—stories shaped by relationships, life experiences, loss, resilience, identity, and our search for meaning. It is this curiosity, more than any single therapeutic model or technique, that continues to guide the way I practise today.
Over the past sixteen years, I have had the privilege of working across community, organisational, educational, hospital, and private practice settings. Each environment has reinforced the same lesson: no two people experience psychological distress in the same way. While diagnoses can provide a useful framework, they can never fully capture the richness of an individual's life or explain the unique path that has brought them to therapy.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy forms the foundation of my clinical work. I am particularly interested in understanding how our early relationships, significant life experiences, and unconscious patterns continue to influence the way we think, feel, relate to others, and experience ourselves. While my work is informed by Jungian psychology, Schema Therapy, and contemporary psychological research, these perspectives serve to deepen and enrich a psychodynamic understanding of each individual rather than replace it.
I am a registered Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor with Clinical Endorsement. Alongside my clinical practice, I provide supervision to psychologists and emerging practitioners, supporting their professional development through reflective practice, clinical formulation, and ethical decision-making. I also have a strong interest in psychological assessment and continue to contribute to the profession through ongoing learning, supervision, and professional development.
Whether I am working with someone experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, personality difficulties, relationship challenges, or periods of uncertainty and transition, my focus remains the same: to understand the person before attempting to understand the problem. I believe that when people feel genuinely heard and understood, therapy becomes more than a place to manage symptoms—it becomes an opportunity to develop greater self-awareness, emotional freedom, and a more authentic way of living.
Seeking therapy is rarely an easy decision, and choosing the right psychologist is an important one. If you feel that my way of thinking and working resonates with what you are looking for, I would be honoured to walk alongside you as we explore the experiences, patterns, and possibilities that make your story uniquely your own.
